The BMT Community Center is currently renovating the building that will be a Center for the Youth in our Community.
Our vision is to be of service to the community, by focusing on each individual youth, teaching them day to day life skills, mental and emotional development, reaching all through a ripple effect.
The Community Center will be a place that they can come to, to feel safe and where we are able to instill life skills sets by sowing seeds into them, that they may not receive at school or home.
To call it just a "Community Center" is not doing it justice that it truly deserves. The Center will provide after school tutoring, a reading program, social media classes on how to use social media in a positive aspect, college prep courses, financial aid classes, job search, etiquette classes, mentorship program, self love/development classes, gardening classes, counseling, and much more. The Center will also have a Food Bank/Food Pantry along with a Community Closet.
We are currently facing a few challenges with our building. The most pressing challenge is bringing our building up to code which we are working with the City of Terrell to get this done.

- Restoration of the 2nd floor

Preserving our building is paramount to the future sustainability and quality of Terrell. It will be a "home away from home" that will forever remind the youth how their community came together in love to ensure that they had all opportunities presented to them in a safe environment by those who cared about their future.
